Once again, we are invited to visit our brothers and sisters at Mission of Hope for Disabled orphanage in Liberia, West Africa! Prince and Agnes have been in regular contact with Victor Wilson, the director of the orphanage, who along with his team, have laid out their needs and desires for the trip. The team plans to leave in late March.
Among what the team hopes to take part in:
Continuing to build deep relationships with the children, volunteers, and leaders of MHD
Lead a Bible study
Facilitate academic teacher training
Perform medical/orthotic check-ups
Work on construction projects with Victor's team
Assess agricultural and farming needs for increasing self-sufficiency
About Mission of Hope for Disabled:
Founded in 1988 as a Catholic school, MHD is a 10-acre home for the disabled on the outskirts of Monrovia where Agnes Cole spent 10 years of her childhood. Since 2010, it has operated independently under Victor Wilson and his team and is self-supported through the operation of a small local school and MHD teachers. The orphanage provides food, shelter, and education for 75 disabled youths and adults who live on site.
